Half Drunk Muse Poetry

The Migration Habits of Two Species by Phoebe Kate Foster

nervous birds
seeming to stitch together
the warning clouds of winter
as they fly away

nervous humans
pretending to patch together
the edges of a shared life
growing more ragged every day

sensing times and seasons
they go

for better or worse
we stay
