Half Drunk Muse Poetry

Mossbeard Haiku by Padma Jared Thornlyre

Clouds claw at pine-roots.
Nearly dry, a creekbed trills.
Mossbeard sits in fog.

Mossbeard man wishes
On nose hairs, not eyelashes
On pyrite, not gold

Low cello, mourning;
A sad, green man’s tequila,
His slow tortilla.
