Half Drunk Muse Poetry

Beyond the End by James L. Smith

Where did you come from
naked and alone
your legs stretch beyond the end
the fan cannot relieve the itch
slithering caress of memory
inches its way up
your skin and in
to the beat that will not stop
punching through your chest
grabbing the throat
the tomorrow
that no one wanted to see.
