Julie Platt is a native of Pittsburgh. Her poems have been published in The Pittsburgh Quarterly and at PoetryMagazine.com. She was the recipient of the James Ragan Prize and the Sara Henderson Hay Prize, both in 2000. She is currently an M.A. candidate in English at Ohio University.
