Losing It
Appeared in the Summer 2004 issue.
Shallow as a birdbath, my brain leaks,
its matrix evaporating, input jammed
by over active sensors, ideas backed up
in a clogged shower drain, thoughts
knee-deep in rusty, inky scum, leaving
a black ring around each leg from bytes
just yesterday put in my memory bank.
